2011 and The Future of Aurora Video

Okay - so first of all, it's pretty evident I've completely neglected this blog. It's funny how the seconds of the day seem to tick faster when you have two kids under the age of 2. Anyway, the point of this post is to announce my plans for the future of Aurora Video. In 2012, I will begin pre-production on my first documentary feature film, and because of this new focus (along with my regular job at Discovery and the aforementioned kids), I will be taking some time off from Aurora Video at the end of 2011.

I've met a lot of good people in the past few years and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of running a video production business. I will especially miss the wonderful e-mails/letters from newlyweds after they've watched their wedding video for the first time.

Now here's the good news for customers: Since I want to make the most of the next 10 months, I'm throwing all the prices listed on the website completely out the window. My goal is to squeeze in as many weddings as I can this year without sacrificing quality, and I am willing to work with any budget. I didn't start the business for the money (of course if helps); I started it because I love the thrill of filming and editing the most important day of someone's life.
